Milomir Ninkovic

Prof. Dr Milomir Ninkovic received his Medical Degree, General Surgery training and his Plastic Surgery residency from School of Medicine University of Sarajevo, former Yugoslavia (now Bosnia and Herzegovina). As a fellow who had opportunity to learn microsurgical technique and reconstructive philosophy by Marco Godina in Ljubljana has been trying to continue Dr Godina’s work and to expand the field of reconstructive microsurgery with new application of functioning free tissue transfer. During his residency program he spent many months in different institutions in USA. He received 1998 International Scholarship of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons as well as the Godina Travel Award 2003 and Godina Memorial Lecture 2004 from the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery

Since 1992 a Consultant Plastic and Aesthetic Surgeon in Innsbruck, Austria. 1997 becomes the professor position at Medical University Innsbruck. Since 2003 he is Head of Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, Hand and Burn Surgery, Munich Clinic Bogenhausen, Technical University in Munich Germany. Numerous publications (more than 250) book chapters (more than 30), and numerous lectures worldwide illustrate his unique expertise in the area of reconstructive surgery. The last one was Gillies Lecturer BAPRAS (British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons) June 2019. Bournemouth, England. So far, he has had many important functions in Plastic Surgery Societies. He was President of European Association of Plastic Surgeons (EURAPS) 2019-2021. Additional he is visiting professor of many European and USA University (Yale University in New Haven, Georgetown University in Washington D.C. etc.
